There’s nothing like a genius DIY that is simple, functional, and economical, am I right?

My fellow friend Deb of @myfourwonders shared this DIY boho picnic table made from IKEA materials last summer and as soon as I saw it I KNEW I would be creating it. I am not sure what took me so long to replicate it but I sure am glad I finally did! Here is the scoop!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
1 IKEA LAGKAPTEN Tabletop (78-3/7 x 23-5/8″)
At least 4- two Hole Strap U Brackets

HERE’S HOW TO CONSTRUCT THE PICNIC TABLE:
Using scissors or snippers, remove the wrapped rattan that attaches the handles to the baskets.
Gently wiggle the handles off the basket. They are attached by a few small nails.
Flip the baskets over so the base of the basket is now the top.
Use the U-shaped brackets to attach the baskets to the countertop.
*This step is optional but it will help create stability and keep the countertop from shifting on the baskets*

Freaking out about where you will store this bad boy…DON’T. Remember, it was originally 3 separate pieces and can be disassembled just as easily as it is constructed. Just slide the countertop under your bed or stand it in the back of a closet and use the baskets as practical storage and home dΓ©cor.
Now, style away and enjoy!!

How many children total could fit at the table?
Hi, Can you please share what’s the size of the U bracket needed? The link takes to 1-1.25” bracket, but I feel that’s too small.
Yes I don’t see it for 8$ either…. please send the link! Thanks
She used the Linnmon table top for $8. Big price difference
I donβt see the table top for 8 dollars. Can I have the link?
